Stone-built in 1870, this former Hammonds house, once known as the Shipley Pride, reopened in December 2018 as “The Beehive,” harking back to its earlier identity as the Beehive Hotel. After a brief closure, it changed ownership again in June 2023. This traditional local pub features two ground-floor rooms merged into a larger space with a central bar. The right side boasts stone walls and leaded windows, while the left side features extensive wood panelling, crimson walls, and more leaded windows. Seating is provided by church pews throughout. A snug at the back has stone walls, tiled flooring, and numerous leather seats. There is also a large basement room called “The Honey Pot.”
